It is pink in color, with a hardness similar to that of white corundum, and higher toughness than white corundum. The grinding tools manufactured with it have good durability and high grinding smoothness. Suitable for precision grinding of measuring tools, machine tool spindles, instrument parts, threaded workpieces, and template grinding.
Chromium corundum is crushed, sieved, and partially ground into fine powder. Mix the granular material and fine powder according to the optimal gradation, add a certain amount of binder, mix thoroughly and evenly, and then use a friction brick press or pressure extinguishing brick press to form. After dry refining, the billet is fired at 1800 ℃. In addition, some high-purity Al2O3 powder and Cr2O3 are mixed in a certain proportion, ground finely, and thoroughly, and then directly used as powder for electric melting bricks.
