The main component of calcium carbide is CaC2, which has a wide range of uses. It is used as a raw material for the trial production of acetylene, as well as in the production of lime nitrogen and as a desulfurizer for steelmaking. Acetylene produced by the reaction of calcium carbide and water can synthesize many organic compounds.
The raw materials required for producing calcium carbide are lime and coke. Mix the crushed and screened lime and coke in a certain proportion, and then feed them into a DC submerged Arc Furnace. Melt them by relying on the ultra-high temperature of the arc, and react to generate calcium carbide.
In the DC submerged arc furnace, the reaction rate and dilution rate of calcium carbide determine the smelting process and the quality of calcium carbide.
The calcium carbide smelting DC submerged arc furnace adopts a continuous feeding method, while the furnace ore constantly changes and needs to be observed at any time.
